This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.

Certification

Successful participants will receive a certificate of competency in being able to ‘Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation’

Course Overview

Our CPR training course will provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation in a vast range of situations, including community and workplace settings. This course is beneficial for all workers, volunteers and personnel who may find themselves in a situation where CPR is required.

Course Outline
  • Recognise, and respond to, a medical emergency situation
  • Identify, assess and manage immediate health and safety of self and others
  • Assess the casualty and recognise need for CPR
  • Seek assistance from Emergency services
  • Perform CPR
  • Communicate details of the incident to emergency services
  • Report details of incident to workplace supervisor if applicable
